Renters Insurance for Tenant-Caused Damage
When a tenant vacates or is evicted, does their renters insurance policy cover liability in a lawsuit for damages to the property caused by the tenant?
Everything I read online discusses only "accidental" damage, but I haven't seen anything that talks about intentional damages caused by the tenant. I am asking from a landlord perspective for damages exceeding the amount of collected security deposit where there is a low likelihood of collection directly from the tenant through a judgement. Thanks in advance.

Renter's insurance usually ends when the person vacates the property and doesn't cover any damage to the actual real property...only tenant personal property.
