Should I furnish my spare rooms that I'm looking to rent out?

I'm wondering if this is worth it when trying to bring in perspective tenants? Or is it a waste of time?   Do rooms that are furnished rent out faster? Do they rent for more?  Are there downsides besides cost and potential damage?
