Hello Biggerpockets
I am really excited to announce that I have started my own Property Management Company. After being a real estate agent for almost 4 years, I found that being a property manager would be a better fit for me.
I have a question for all of BP owners. I have been trying to drum up business for the past 2 weeks just calling on everyone that I think might need a property manager (Craigslist FRBO & Recently closed homes). I have found it is really hard for me to get someone to either switch or have a FRBO need the services of a property manager.
Any ideas as to where I should be looking for potential clients that would need a property manager?
I'm open to suggestions. Thank you!

Kyle,
Really look into joining NARPM, you will garner a lot of contacts, education and ideas regarding building your business

@Kyle Kinsley First off congrats! I have 15 years of all the things you should not do on the first try if you ever need any help in any area of your business. Like @Kim Meredith Hampton said join NARPM. Their best convention of the year is in 3 weeks in Vegas.

Create a nice flyer, brochure, or other marketing device that includes an offer of a referral fee. Take lots of copies around to various real estate offices that don't offer PM services. Let them know why they should refer people to you and that you offer a commission for any referrals.
