I stopped by a rental house today to get the rent, there was a letter on the door, she left him, he couldn't afford it, keep the deposit. But they left behind some furniture, a bicycle and a snowboard. Do I have to save this stuff, seeing I got a letter they left the place???

Dick you need to check your state's personal property disposal laws.

In Georgia if it's clear they have vacated and the property looks to be under 500 you don't need to go through the eviction process.

Every state's rule and process is different.Take pictures of it and leave it where it is until you check out what to do.
