Questions on liability issues of using "handymen"

Hello BP Nation! I need some advice. I plan to hire some college kids for general labor on a farm we own. The work will involve use of chainsaws, tractor, ladders, etc. I am worried about what happens if one of them gets hurt. I plan to treat them as independent contractors. What do I need to do to protect myself?

Cheryl C. - I'm sure someone is going to get on here with experience in insurance, but I believe at a minimum you need personal liability coverage to cover actions you take (hiring labor) and to cover actions on your property (labors actions).
