LLC which state is best

Gail Marie
Posted

I own a rental property in CA and I am buying a multi family unit with partners in Indiana. I have another investor who set up LLC in Utah and has registered agent in Indiana. Is there a better state to set up LLC in-due to state taxes? I have read so much contradictory information and I am trying to get this completed.

Additionally, can I then use the same LLC and get registered agents in other states as we grow in our investment properties?

Hi Gail, there are better states for LLCs, specifically Wyoming and Nevada. Check out corporatedirect.com - those guys have their stuff together and can point you in the right direction. Garrett Sutton - author of "Loopholes of Real Estate" and others is the owner and has been on many podcasts explaining the nuances of choosing the right state.
