Question regarding Inherited tenants

Just closed on my first deal! Whoop whoop!

It is a duplex, I’m gonna live on one side and rent to inherited tenants. They’ve been there for about 5 years now and wondering if for any reason I should still have them fill out the initial rental application and do a move in inspection? Basically treat it like they’re just moving in

@Nathan Gesneris right on with some fantastic advice. As someone who has inherited tenants before, the wrong ones can certainly be a pain but you won't know for sure until you get in. Hopefully, you got some information on the lease situation and rents prior to closing. This should be helpful in deciding whether rents are at or below market value. Good luck on your house hack!
