Question about Rent to Own

I am currently renting a room in an older house (Built in the 70`s) it is in O.K. condition, needs updating. The house is 2 stories, 5 bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms two of which are en suite, one car garage, large living room, nice sized full kitchen, sitting room and rec room and large storage space in basement. Nice sized backyard with old growth trees. Quite neighborhood near a major road. What I am wondering is would it be a good investment to arrange a rent to own agreement?

First, the property is rather irrelevant, what is your goal in or with this property. Do you want to sell it or lease it? Are you looking really to sell eventually and making more as the bank or what? What is the goal? :)

The goal is to renovate it and rent out the rooms
