This meetup is a networking event for anyone living in (or visiting!) Toronto who invests or is interested in investing in real estate anywhere in the US. This is a regular event, usually once per month on the 2nd Monday. No pitching or selling, just a venue to share experiences and resources for those of us actively investing in the US and anyone interested in learning more about investing in US real estate.
This month we have 2 guest presenters from Ottawa: Elliott Milek CPA, CGA, EA and Mathieu Laquerre.
Elliott is a U.S. - Canadian tax accountant with over 10 years of experience working with Canadians investing in U.S. real estate. He has helped Canadians secure U.S. financing, helped Canadians open U.S. banks accounts, and ensure U.S. and Canadian tax filings have been completed in a timely and tax efficient manner.
Mathieu is a real estate investor with over 10 years of experience flipping, renting, and managing property. Mathieu has started his real estate investing career in eastern Canada and in Ottawa and has branched out to the U.S. markets over the last few years. Mathieu and his team have been flipping residential and commercial property in Philadelphia for over 3 years and expect to flip more than 15 properties in 2020.

7:15 - 8:15 Presentations and follow-up discussion (Cross-border Taxation & Flipping)
8:15 - 9:00+ Mingle / Discussion
Future meetups are generally 3rd Monday of each month this fall. They're planned as follows:

- Monday, December 16
