Welcome to the second Midwest Real Estate Investor Meetup in Peoria. For those of you returning, we're so glad you enjoyed the first meetup and we look forward to seeing you again.

For those of you that are new around here... Mike Gudat and Brad Stegall of Acceleration Ventures welcome you! We both started investing in our early 20's by house hacking duplexes. Mike has been involved with the acquisition or sale of over 978 units. He recently sold a 162-unit complex earlier this year that was a part of a syndication he put together. Brad and Mike are currently business partners on two multifamily projects in Peoria. Outside of their partnership, Brad also owns 49 units in the Peoria area.

The guest speaker for the April Meetup will be the Airbnb Whisperer, Tia Bailey. She is a young entrepreneur who started out as a nobody and busted her butt to be one of the top leaders in the industry. She started her short-term rental business at age 26 (while working and going to college, taking 20+ credits per quarter). She’s not only (self-proclaimed) made every mistake under the sun, but it led her to unprecedented success. During 2020, she quintupled her business (yep, even during COVID) and went from a broke college kid to a serial entrepreneur, running and owning (or part owner in) over 6 different companies…across the nation. You can learn more about her at www.tiabailey.com.

We will still allow plenty of time for networking at the beginning and the end of the meetup. Remember our mission: We want to help investors get started. We want to help connect people to find deals. We want to teach people about creative financing. We want to help everyone win big with real estate investing. We will plan to meet on the second Tuesday of every month.

Lunch will be served during the meeting and you will pay Warehouse on State directly. Warehouse on State requires people to wear masks while not eating at the event.

This sounds awesome! Can't wait to be able to attend. Should be able to come to one in May or June!

What are some take aways from the last meeting?
