Mike's Deal of the Day - July 5th 2025

Hey everyone. Finally a decent deal on mattresses!

Amazon has the Zinus 12" Cooling Comfort Hybrid Mattresses on sale:

Queen $189 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CKYSQ6WH?th=1

King $228https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CKYTJ73N?th=1

Now these are the newest versions of their cool sleeping mattresses. I don't know much about these but they are said to run firm even though they list them as medium.

As most folks know, a lot of us run the Zinus Green Tea mattresses but I would go with these if I was looking for new ones. You can add a 2" memory foam topper with a nice padded mattress protector and, even if it was firmer, would still be great for most guests.

Thanks for the deal Mike! We have new mattresses since we just recently started and have 2 bookings behind us now but was curious - does anyone keep a mattress as a spare for the event that one gets damaged during a stay?

Wondering about this because if one has back to back bookings, there is not enough time to buy/wait to receive and install a new mattress… but as I am writing this, I could ask the same question about potentially many other things that could get damaged…. Maybe I’m overthinking this

I would not stock a backup mattress. Use both a mattress encasement and mattress protector on every mattress and you shouldn't have any issues. Maybe some of the larger operators with 20+ listings in the same area could find some value in keeping one on hand but I don't think it's necessary personally.
