Noise From Above

Ground floor condo with kid(s), owners not tenants, above that sound like a herd of elephants from 6:15am until 9pm. Its a beach rental in a neighborhood of generally older people so I am surprised. It feels like it is vibration noise which based on my google-diligence wouldn't be solved by insulation. Any solutions other than parents consider an evaluation for Adderall?

Probably the easiest solution would be to attach an acoustic underlayment to the ceiling and then cover that over with a second layer of drywall.
