Finally listed our tiny house
Our tiny house is finally live on AirBnB! There haven't been any inquiries yet, and I'm pretty sure the views are all from my Facebook friends. :-)
The window coverings came in today, and I have a couple of other decorative items on order. When we get all that in and I get new pictures taken, I plan to start advertising it. I'm holding out posting in the Real Estate Success Stories forum until we get our first booking.
This vacation rental is a risky plan, because our tiny house is not in a desirable area. It's on a farm about 20 miles south of Houston. We hope it will appeal to nature lovers, those who need a writer's retreat, or possibly those who are in town for treatment at Houston's medical center. So, we'll see what happens!
I'm not sure if I can post the link here, because I don't want to run afoul of the rules about marketing.

@Leigh Ann Smith Love it! As you mentioned, get the blinds and retake photos - preferably a wide angle lens. I agree - no sense in paying listing fees until you're sure it's a "go". It also leaves me wondering "why and what else is there to do when I visit?", so I would recommend adding that flair. Can you fish that pond? Other nearby photos of things to do. Tiny Houses are all the buzz right now, so leverage that buzz into your listing.
Best of luck!
Mike
