Noise level at the vacation property location
Hi fellow investors! I found a great property in a great community, lakefront, at a great price (PA area). Only one drawback - you can hear the noise from the road nearby when outside (but not inside). How big of a deal is that? Should I pass on this house just because of that? Everything else is right...Would appreciate your thoughts!
Thank you everyone,
Julia

@Julia Bykhovskaia I think this is one of those situations where you really need to 'know your guests'. If you are going to cater to younger crowds then it's probably not a big deal, but if you are targeting families then it might create negative reviews down the road (sorry for the pun).
If the deal is right though, then you can also just view from a real estate investing perspective and make that work for you. When I purchased our place in Lake Tahoe, the 'other option' from the one we chose was on a busy street. It really wasn't the noise we were too worried about though, more for the safety of our children and our guests' children.
Good luck on whatever path you choose, please keep us posted on what you decide!
Cheers!
