Do I have to refund prepaid rent if my roomy wants to leave early

I have a roommate / short term rental  who paid for six months in advance and now wants to leave two months early.  Do I have to refund her the unpaid rent even if she is deciding to leave early?

That is tough since your agreement doesn't cover the issue.

I would think you would have to refund the unused amount since your agreement doesn't say you are entitled to it.
