Reservation request- Credit card denied
Advice? I just accepted a request to book for today, then the guest said he used the wrong credit card to book. He will put the correct card in once the original gets denied.
I told him about 1/2 hour ago to cancel his reservation and re-book with the correct card instead of waiting for a denial and I’ll save his reservation, but I haven’t heard back from him yet.
He might be legit, but he might not be. What are your suggestions?

Give him some time. I would give him a full 24 hours to get thing straightened out then cancel.
