Need advice on second home investment

Rohit Sharma
Posted

New invested need help in understanding this option. I am buying a SFH in Palm Spring area which is has lease with a vacation rental company for two more years and buyer has to assume the lease. I am wondering if this will still qualify as a second home or investment property ? If I am able to work out with leasing company that I will be also using property during Down time? Would like to get second home loan which has better interest rate and lower down payment.

That's sticky because it is a documented rental.

Be safer to get a regular investment mortgage than to commit fraud.
