I am a new out-of-state investor looking to add a contractor to my team. I am planning to use the BRRRR strategy. Thus, I need to find a rock-star contractor.
What are some of the questions that I should ask when interviewing contractors?
First question, ask for contact info for current and past clients. Those customers will tell you what you need to know. If they don't have any satisfied customers that are willing to talk to you, move on.
Always ask for a draw schedule. If the total is 10,000, pay 2,000 when demo complete, 4,000 when first phase complete, etc. Have your PM or RE person send pictures and video of the completed phases.
