College student looking for an outlet

Andy Perez
Posted

Hello biggerpockets goers!

My name is Andy Perez and I’m a college student looking for an outlet of becoming something more of myself. I was introduced into bigger pockets, as well as real estate by my older brother, and I was astonished to what accomplishments people have made in this field, which made me want to engulf myself into alongside with all of you!

Im 22 year old college student studying to receive my  bachelors of science and nursing, as well as I have 2 side businesses as a custom rug maker and as well as a mariachi musician.

My goal for this introduction message is to see if there’s any insight I can receive as for buying my first home, renting it (or Airbnb) with the small amount of money I have to my name. I’ve been familiar with some options but I also am not too sure how this all goes. Any help or insight would be much appreciated, thank you!

amazing! Keep learning. I just helped my son (18) buy his first rental property in Memphis with about $20k out of pocket total.

Learn from mentors (try not to have too many mentors -as it just causes analysis pyralysis)  I highly recommend podcasts like "Passive Real Estate Investing" on Itunes. Lots of great info.

Do take action while you are young- you have time in your favor and you will thank yourself when you are 30 and retiring on your rental income and your friends are still working and hoping their "401k" pays them someday.

Best of luck!
