Hello, my fellow BP members!

I've been a BP member a few months now, after learning about it from a real estate investment course i completed. I'm now browsing the site taking the time to use its great resources.  I've listening to a few of the latest pod-casts and i enjoy the guests members that are featured on it. The interview give me hope and motivation to want to start my investment adventures.

I'm currently living in Kalamazoo, MI and as of this instant i do not own any investment properties. I'm contemplating on my first property whether i want to try a single family home or duplex to rehab for a buy-and-hold rental property. I want to accomplish some flipping deals as well. Hopefully that will be my next move after my first if the opportunity presents itself.

Looking forward to the future!

@Jeffrey Townsend  Hey there! There's lots of resources on here to help you decide what niche of real estate investing best suites you. I would stick with one thing at first and learn the ropes - get some experience - make some money.

Then kick it up a notch and do 2 more, then 4, then 8, heck just scale it up to whatever you're comfortable with. You can always branch out and do more buy and hold or more flips and wholesale deals, but put most of your time on what you would consider to be your bread and butter so you can maximize your strengths.

I would suggest something Brandon Turner and others have mentioned on here and that's house hacking... not sure if that's what you meant with flipping a duplex, but starting off it's great! I wish I had done it.
