Hi... Steve Driscoll here - Live on Long Island, New York. Been on Bigger Pockets.com for years as a free member and really did not take advantage of the forums. Now a Pro member and I want to take an active part in these forums.

Till now, I have invested in SW Florida. Bought properties in 2009 & 2010 when it was basically buy three - get two free.. I could not believe just how cheap these homes really were. I did some basic rehab and rented out the properties.

I use a single management company - I'm on the phone with the company every other day - still difficult to manage properties over 1,000 miles away. They do cash flow for a net $300 average - per my tax return after all the deductions. Not bad. Appreciation.. well.. not bad either. When you can buy an asset that a family can live in cheaper than the Chevrolet at the corner used car lot.. you have to buy.

My basic experience is as a sub-prime auto finance lender. I have left that arena - Thank God... and am now looking to offer seller financing on the homes I purchase from here on. Private money financing has not been a real worry for me and I have some advise for those that may be interested.. but that's another forum post.

I would like to get into the Ohio market and seller finance SFH's there. I have no contacts as of now and will need to build a team..
