Hello all! Newb from the Boston area

Hello everyone!

I stumbled across this site a few minutes ago. I wish I found it earlier!

I am a homeowner (in Mass.) and an investor in the Akron Ohio area. Currently I am

learning as I go, but still quite green. We purchased our first single family with the thought of a quick flip. Needless to say I did not do my due research well enough. As we learned more about the area we decided to keep it as a long term rental. While we were making the decision to keep the property as a rental, we won a single family at auction.

That is where we stand now. Trying to keep them in good shape, rented. I am considering stretching us thin and going for a multi family.

If luck has anything to do with it, we feel fortunate to be where we are.

I am looking forward to learning from you and being able to use this as a true reference source.

Many thanks!

Sean, Welcome to Bigger Pockets.  It's the best resource on the web, so make sure to take the time to read forums, articles, and listen to the many great podcasts.  @Shaun Reilly , above, has one here on BP, and I have one on hard money.

Do some searches for topics of interest to you, you will soon learn how BP filters results and you will find lots of threads that are helpful.  Definitely attend local events, it's how you find like minded people and the resources to find and do deals locally.

Hope to meet you at tonight's Black Diamond, url in my signature.
