Real Estate Agent in Kansas City(Northland primarily)

Greetings and Salutations to one and all.  I have always wanted to write that!  My name is Ashley Simcoe and I am a newer real estate agent.  I have been at this for almost 2 years.  I have a background in the Restaurant industry and decided after I was let go 2 years ago(the building was bulldozed a year later) that it was time for a change.  I knew that I didn't want to back to work for someone/chain/concept etc. and that I wanted to try something new.  I am enjoying my career to this point but one of my big "why's" is to eventually get into business with my brother.  I know, I have heard pros and cons on both sides of this issue but I am pretty secure in my understanding of what we want to do and accomplish.

I am very interested in real estate investing.  I was raised around it as my folks own several rental properties and enjoy doing some of the work myself.

I am here to learn as much as I can and eventually purchase my first property and maybe even be able to offer some assistance with my newly acquired knowledge base as well.  I am interested mostly in flipping and buy and hold for the long term.

Thanks for taking the time to read and I look forward to meeting some new folks and learning about the world of real estate investing.

Being from the Northland I bid you a great big welcome!

Feel free to ask any questions.  I'm learning BP, this platform is a little confusing for me so feel free to email me directly.

I've been doing this for years.  My uncle built houses in the KC Metro area & was fortunate to learn the accounting aspect, I have worked for 2 real estate investment firms who do fix & flip models, buy & holds & we are growing!

Finding a mentor is a great step!

Hey Ashley,

Welcome to BP! It's a great community here. You will gain a TON of knowledge and who knows - maybe you'll even find a partner or two.

Knowing that there is a resource available to me that offers advice on pretty much any REI question has been a huge benefit to me and my business.

Investing in multifamily properties by using as little of my own money as possible is my game. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you in your journey!

The best way to jump into buy and hold ownership is to target an owner occupied multi family home with an FHA loan - which means only 3.5% down payment. Send me a message if you want more details. : )
