I am brand new to this website and to real estate investing. this probably a fairly common question but how exactly do you get started in investing in real estate properties. Any answers or helpful tips are greatly appreciated.
Hi @Joshua Ytuarte . Welcome to BiggerPockets.
This is a very broad question. It depends on what type of investing you want to pursue.
Step #1 is to educate yourself. You're in the right place for that. We have a weekly Podcast, where Josh and Brandon interview a new investor every week. We are on Episode 150, so you will have them to listen to for a long time. They're great in the car or while you are working on a rehab.
We also have these forums, where you can ask questions. And a Blog, written by investors who have been there, done that.
Welcome !!! You've come to the right place to learn about all things real estate!! Read and educate yourself and feel free to ask questions. You'll find all the help you need here :)
The question is very ambiguous but I would say that I'm trying to build "money producing" asets.
@Joshua Ytuarte I'd get going by reading lots of books, listening to some good podcasts and reaching out to people you come across who are talking about things you're interested in.
Here's a good book list to get you started:
Read Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
I just finished Rich Dad Poor Dad. In fact, that's the reason I'm on this website. Definitely trying to build my asset column to get out of the rat race.
