New Guy from Tampa, Florida
So I attended one of those free "how to get rich" seminars a few weeks back, which turned out to be just a three day sales pitch for the "next level." Anyway, I was interested in the real estate angle so I signed up for the "Intensive" course, which turned out to be another 3 day sales pitch for the really expensive mentorship program. Luckily, I came to my senses before plunking down $10K to $20K for more training. The good news is that it ignited my desire to learn more and to actually take steps to develop a plan and DO something. I'm leaning toward flipping, fix-and-flip, and wholesaling. But I'm becoming more intrigued with rentals, both single-family and multiple units. I currently own a tree service but we're heading into slow season so I'll have more time to devote to real estate.

@Brett Youngster welcome to BP! Great place to learn as well as local meet ups. Take a little bit of time and figure out what direction you want to go first then branch out. After meeting people that have been in the business for a while you could think of trading your services for a little mentorship, a nice win win. A quick difference in rentals and everything else is rentals are a get rich slow and more passive, all other sides are day jobs. Good luck!
