Jack Edgar-New to BP, MF Cashflow Investor-Chicago Metro
Hi all,
Its been well over due but I finally took the time to join BP. Active podcast listener for some time now. Looking to connect with you and see how we can build up our real estate businesses together. Since 2011, I've taken on the role as investor and bought a distressed 2 flat in Chicago's Irving Park neighborhood, where I owner-occupy/manage w/ my wonderful wife Heather. By day, I run my commercial RE brokerage business with SVN-Chicago focused on investment sales.
My background is in commercial development in the south burbs of Chicago as an analyst (think big box distribution centers, office, retail, and site development) and before that a long time associate with Home Depot. Since I was about 15 years old, I've worked on various home construction projects; reading up and/or learning from mentors.
Today, I am assembling a team to ramp up purchases of multi-family apartment buildings in the Chicago area. Our focus is on value-add (renovation, amenity enhancement) in transit-oriented locations in selected geographic areas with potential for rental growth through area amenities & job opportunities just to name a few attributes.
