Dan from Cleveland, OH with a huge good morning for the BP family
Hello, I am proud to say that I am the newest member to the BP family! I live in Bay Village, Ohio, which is a western suburb of Cleveland. I have a stable corporate job, but have always had the entrepreneurial drive on a small scale, and wish to apply my desire into the real estate investing field.
I have always taken the "Dave Ramsey" approach through my young adult life- live within my means, pay off the credit card bill before the statement comes, and eliminate all debt ASAP! I am looking to pay off my personal mortgage much much sooner than the original 15 years initially loaned from the bank. As I strive to be truly debt free, I am seeking to jump into building a portfolio near my home in the Cleveland area. So far, I've really enjoyed the BP podcast, and have started to navigate through the website as well. Aside from my own "education" either on the radio for my commutes or explorations on the forums and blog posts, I would eventually like to participate in local investing groups to keep the "ball rolling."
Being a true novice, my initial goals would be searching for single/duplex rentals for passive income (with help of great rehabbing contractors!), but definitely am open to other forms of investing that I have come to discover.
