Hello BP friends! I'm new to BP and RE is an old friend I can't wait to be acquainted with again. I use to sell real estate when I was kid, well almost a kid. I started out as a Realtor in Southlake TX when I was 18 but never could find my niche. Thought maybe I should travel around and grow up a little, so I joined the Air Force in 1999. After basic training and tech school the Air Force sent me 2 hours north of Dallas to the town of Wichita Falls(went real far, lol). While I was there I'd always just drive around different neighborhoods for fun, just looking at houses. It wasn't long before I became a realtor there as well. I would help other military personnel in my unit list and purchase homes. Everything was moving along smoothly but was short lived. September 11 happened and I had to switch focus. So fast forward 18 years later and 2 years from retirement I starting to look for the next chapter in my life and you can better believe RE will be involved. Not sure I want to try the Realtor/broker gig again but won't rule it out. My first goal is to acquire enough buy&hold properties to close the gap in income I'll have when I retire. My second goal is to get my beautiful wife on board in REI.... Should I change the priorities of my goals? If so, how would you do it?

Hello Thomas,

Welcome to BP, it's a great place to jump back in. I'd agree with Ken and say getting the lady on board is first priority, haha. You're definitely well located to scoop up some deals in the south end.
