Hello Thomas,

Welcome to BP, it's a great place to jump back in. I'd agree with Ken and say getting the lady on board is first priority, haha. You're definitely well located to scoop up some deals in the south end.

Hi April,

Welcome to Bigger Pockets! You have certainly come to the right place with your questions. To give a little background- I own a local Real Estate Group and do some investing as well. We have great relationships with VA lending specialists & I'm sure they would be happy to connect. Around JBLM is a great place to be looking for places to rent out as there are lots of potential responsible tenants! ;) MFR purchases are really popular right now and perfect for buy and hold. Let me know if I can answer any questions for you!

Hi Allan,

Welcome to BP. This is definitely the right place to start for learning about real estate. There is a wealth of knowledge both in the forums and the podcasts. Buy and holds seem to be really popular right now and are a very good choice as the beginning of an investment portfolio. Good luck on your way!

Hey Annie!

Welcome to the Bigger Pockets world. Rehabbing your primary home is a great way to get started and a route many of my clients take. I own a local Real Estate Group in the Bellevue area and do some investing as well. Tacoma is a great area for investing.

Best of luck on your next move!
