Biking for Dollars on a Sunday Morning

Hi, I'm just starting out on this real estate investment journey.  I live in central Pennsylvania and I'm currently looking for my first purchase to buy & hold.  I always hear about driving for dollars but I figured I'd change it up.  Why not combine two things I enjoy, biking and looking at real estate.  I rode through some areas that I'd be interested in investing and found some properties that weren't popping up on the normal sites. It didn't happen today but I also think a neighbor would be more open to discussing properties on their street with someone that's biking/walking rather than someone just hoping out of their car.  Just my thoughts and how I spent my morning.  I really enjoy the podcasts and the forums, they provide hours of education and entertainment.

Great idea! I take it one step further and often walk for dollars. That way I can knock on doors of properties that look like they may be a good fit for my investment model, chat with neighbors on how they like living there, if they've ever had any issues with crime, what's the deal with that ugly run down house 3 doors down, etc.

Walking the streets I wish to own is a great way to slow down and take a look around :)
