Newbie From Iowa City, IA

Hey all,

I'm a newbie from Iowa City, IA. I'm a teacher at the local high school. Grew up in Illinois, but have lived here quite some time now. I fell into real estate by accident when we couldn't sell our house during the crash. Since then we've bought a few more SFR and small plexes.

I don't want to 'escape' my job or really even achieve financial freedom in the way most folks talk about.  My main motivation is that I love real estate and feel called to pursue it.  Plus it is fun to do deals, structure financing, and figure out how to solve interesting problems!
