New investor looking for any experience I can get my hands on!

John Atkinson
Posted

Hello everyone, my name is John Atkinson. I am currently a 23 year old college student (marketing major) that has aspirations of investing in real estate after I graduate in December 2020. I am particularly looking into buy and hold properties with an emphasis on small multifamily. I am hoping to house hack or live in flip after I graduate. Being that I have no real experience with real estate I am also interested in exploring pretty much any other method of real estate investing. I've read a few REI books like the book on investing in rental properties, how to invest in re with no and low money down, rich dad poor dad, buy it rent it profit, and about half of the millionaire real estate investor. I have also read a number of business and lifestyle books like the one thing, set for life, cashflow quadrant, never split the difference, etc. I am also an avid listener of the bigger pockets podcast and have listened to about half of the episodes. I am looking for any knowledge or experience that I can get in real estate. I still have a ton to learn and I am eager to get out there and start working. I would love to hear any advice, recommendations on where I can acquire more knowledge or even a good book you think I should read. Thank you all, I look forward to embarking on my real estate journey!
