Good Morning Bigger Pockets Community!

My name is Justin Kirkland and I currently live in central New Jersey. Ive been a member here since last year but have spent my time just looking around while flirting with the idea of investing. 

This pandemic has given me the unique opportunity to improve my skillset and pursue my other goals since my bartending job has been put on hold. I decided to go ahead and shoot for my real estate license so that I have options and knowledge for the beginning of my journey! I enrolled my girlfriend and myself in a real estate school that starts today and will go until the 16th. I have no idea what I am doing but I am excited to get started!

I saw in the webinar last week that a good way to get started here on Bigger Pockets is simply to post and start being active. My goal ultimately is to house hack with the FHA loan as a first step. I am not sure if being an agent will directly assist me with that goal, but I know the knowledge I gain over these next two weeks will make me more comfortable with how to approach it.

Anyone with tips/advice for what the next steps are after I get my licence (especially if you are NJ based) is appreciated. I look forward to the networking and support that this community provides. Cheers!
