Investing for children

Jeffrey Muth Jr
Posted

Hello-

Been recently listening to the podcasts. My kid has about $8-900 (we have been saving every dollar he gets from birthday & christmas) I want to invest it in something but don't know where to start.

I would like to invest and then leave alone and let it grow until he reaches a certain.

How old is your kid?

Buy a bond, a stock, and a lawnmower. See which one can earn him the most money the fastest. Once he figures out he can buy a lawnmower and get paid for having his friend push it in a different part of town, you'll know he has it figured out.
