Hello Bigger Pockets Community!

I wanted to give you all a brief introduction as to who I am and what I’m interested in perusing in the area of real estate investing. I work with a large network of investors lol...just kidding; I’m nobody in real estate.

I currently work as a carpenter/handyman. I’ve helped with a few extensive remodeling projects in WA state and SC; primarily remodels in WA and vacation rentals on Hilton Head Island SC. I have some money saved up for investing, but I’ve been trying hard to educate myself as much as possible before jumping in with both feet. I have personally thrown money at things before without investing in an education first and suffered the consequences.

I’m interested in lease options, creative financing, small multi family rentals, and long distance investing (Within the US). I have a strong credit score, understand a fair bit about housing from a construction stand point, have some money saved, but I also have a high debt to income ratio from student loans and would therefore be interested in a partnership with someone that could complement my weaknesses from a financial stand point.

I’ve listened to some Gurus like most of you I’m sure, and spent some money on them. I was so happy to find Bigger Pockets and can appreciate them so much more knowing how much disinformation, salesmanship, and lies are out there confusing new would be investors. It’s like the nutrition and diet market out there for real estate; it’s hard to know how to navigate and who to trust. I love the free educational content, genuine people involved, and the strait forward approach. Im looking forward to learning from the discussions taking place and thankful for those who share their knowledge so freely.
