New to the area and Industry

Happy Sunday Bigger Pockets,

My name is Arthur Gallop and I am new to the Easton/Allentown/Bethlehem area here in PA. I am also new to the real estate industry. I'm looking to connect with the community in the area and learn as much as possible to achieve my goal. My goal is to invest in rental properties, short term or long term. I always tell my wife "all I need is land" just messing around to bother her, but now it's time to make that statement a reality! Any tips, pointers, or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
