Advice on life decisions

Hey BP community. I would love some input on l personal goals and setting a new path in 2019. My partner and I are both teachers. I have completed my real estate license and have started transitioning to self employment/starting a business. We live in Denver.

My question is this. If you wanted to live in a smaller area to raise a little family, start a business around real estate. Where would you go?

Fine with smaller metro areas, up and coming or rebounding markets. We love it out west and have family in Michigan so that's where we will be looking for opportunities. Thanks BP community.

@Nathan Paul Konyndyk The market is certainly was a little bit recessed during your time that you lived here. I just did a study on average sales prices of homes and by my calculations prices are up to 210% since 2009. The Aquinas area is well sought after by many buyers today.
