Physical Therapy and Real Estate Investing

I had my first physical therapy session today for my back and it reminded me of some of little things we have to do to become successful in real estate investors.

Performing one after the other simple, easy to do, exercises that we need to do to create a successful outcome. Some made me feel a little intimidated and some made me feel foolish. A grown man should never have to thrust his junk in the air while on his back in public. Especially 20 times. Not pretty.

As I was performing my newly found unforgiving tasks I thought about the time I cold called for the first time, the time I knocked on a sellers door without a contract or business card, The time I didn’t understand that a deposit check was actually suppose to be cashable.

My cute young Therapist has wisdom way beyond her years. Her one pointed instruction kept resonating over and over.

"Don’t hold your breath and just breathe”

I’ve spoken with many investors who need to hear those words. “Don’t hold your breath and just breathe”.

This business is about learning to do simple little tasks which when put together create a desired outcome. Investors cannot cheat the system anymore then I can fix my back with one visit and without the internal humiliation.

So if it is any consolation, I am proudly going to continue to trust my junk and put my butt in the air as I do my down under dog poses while the world within the Therapists’ office looks on with admiration or ridicule because I know it must be done to accomplish my goal.
