Being our national Independence Day, I thought the article Written by Marty Boardman was fitting. Also, I can remember the very fire he was speaking of.

Actually, I have NEVER experienced full INDEPENDENCE. My entire working life, I see money that I work hard for taken away and given to people who refuse to work. I see money taken away from me and given to people who were too lazy to plan for their retirement. I see money taken away from me and used to pay for the medical care of elderly who did not plan for their own retirement health care.

Now the government has gone so far as to tell me what size soft drink I can buy and force me to buy a private sector product and if I don't, I pay a penalty.

You would think that a government this intrusive would at least protect it's International Borders, but they refuse to even do that. They work harder to get guns INTO the hands of the Mexican Drug Cartels!

Independence? Our Founding Fathers are rolling in their graves due to what has become of their precious United States!
