Are there any mortgage experts or brokers  around Jackson Michigan that would know how I could borrow money against my paid for house even though my credit isn't good ? I'd really like to use some of the money for down payments on other properties . Thanks everyone for all your help .

Erik:

I'd look into a credit repair agency.   I've heard reports that a good one can raise your score pretty quickly.  Just do your research.  There are some good ones and their are some that are scams.

Alternatively, I'd look into private money. There has to be someone you know that would lend at a "safe" LTV with a good yield.
