Real estate investors meet up locations in NYC

Hello Bigger Pockets Family. I am pretty pisst off at some real estate workshops/events I have gone to in NYC. These so called "free" events are nothing more than people trying to get into your pockets (i.e. pay  and we will show you how). Therefore, I would like to know if anyone is interested in meeting up at some bars in NYC where we can learn from each other and network.

A little about me. I am a newbie at real estate. I am currently trying to pay off my student debt so that I can save up for a down payment on a future house. I have a whole list of books I am reading, and started learning how to look for deals in NYC/NJ/YONKERS ( which is pretty difficult).

If anyone has some ideas about meet up locations we can do in NYC or bars we can hang out at after work, it will be great. Looking forward to learning from this big family, and hopefully we can be the next best thing in the real estate market.

Please add me as a friend or send me a message in my inbox. Us newbies have to surround ourselves around people that are doing great things! so thank you in advanced.

Sam,

Why would a season investor want to network with you?

All I know you're from NYC,  read books, you have student debt, and you went to workshops you dislike..

I would change your approach... Highlight any unique skills you might have.. For ex maybe you are a Web Developer, know a trade, you're an accountant who knows but maybe theres someone that needs a person with your unique skills and would be more willing to meet up with you and share their knowledge..
