I am in the army and want to invest

I want to invest I’m currently married and in the army. I own a home but I am trying to find an entry into real estate. I’m currently stationed at Fort Bragg, NC and there are cheap properties out here but I none that are the it based on the bigger pockets strategic formula. Is there anyone out here that I can learn from, get in contact with or any advice from other military personnel that may have been successful in real estate.
