I've noticed over the past few months when I drive around Jacksonville that I have not seen very many "We Buy Houses" Bandit signs. I heard from a friend that the city is cracking down and imposing fines per sign for hanging them. Does anyone know if this is true?
Good Morning BiggerPockets members. I’m an investor from out of state I’m looking to connect with investors from Jacksonville FL.
Someone from the city picks up signs during the weekdays. Weekends are your best bet for them to be untouched. I haven't spoken to anyone who has actually been fined.
Yes they are very strict on signs I personally got fined for 4 signs $55/each! I was a newbie at the time and put my website on the signs and didn't know anything about masking my site at that time!
City picks them up during the week. There is a sign redemption day twice a year where you can bring in signs and tires for cash. You get a burner phone number or google voice number and use it for your bandit signs. Most bandit sign numbers owners rarely get back to the caller in 24 hours so why even bother.
Out of 200 bandit signs over the last 3 months, 2 were fined $55 each for "litter violations."
