There are many good one but there are many crooks as well.  I'd say this forum is a great place to start and find a few of the good ones.  @Jay Ragland  is probably one of those and certainly worth looking into.   I will say this, many GCs that i would recommend are super busy these days and backed up for months.  If a GC has zero projects going on in this market, its worth a bit more due diligence to understand why.  Doesnt mean they are not honest and worthy, just means you'll want to understand more.  Also look into their subs bc again, most great subs we know are booked solid from larger/busy GCs/new home builders.  make sense?   Good luck!  btw, where is your project?
