water in the basement
Dear BP members,
i own a town-house in Philadelphia, PA. There's water in my basement, what is the best way to check where the water is coming from ?

You can call a plumber to come over and do an inspection. If you don't like that idea, What has the weather been like? Turn off your main water valve and see if that stops the influx of water. If it does, then you know it's leaking from the water pipes, someplace. If the water is off and you're still having water filling up, it may be seeping in from the land. The point is, it's all a process of elimination, and you have to narrow down the options.
