How to get started from overseas

Hello all,

My name is Garrett Osborne and I am currently Active Duty Navy stationed in Yokosuka, Japan.  My tour here is coming to an end, and I will soon be honorably discharged from the service.  I have had a passion for real estate/real estate investing for several years now, but due to the constant relocations during my Navy career I haven't been able to pull the trigger.  My passion lies within rehabbing/flipping homes, and the question I have is what steps can I take while I'm still overseas to land my first deal?  My wife will be attending law school when we arrive back in the states, so aside from my retirement pension, I am trying to secure another source of income.  I have the necessary knowledge for the flip, I just need some advice on how to get started without actually being at the location.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks, all!

You can use property managers that can flip too (correct me if I'm wrong BP community!), you can partner with another investor who has settled down and go half and half,  or invest in rentals right now until you settle down using a property manager.

Hope that helps a little bit!
