Are the closing costs on the re-sale end always out-of-pocket?

Specifically for the agent's commission. Is cash the only way these are paid for? Is there a way to pay out of the capitlal you receive from the sale of the house etc.?

I may be confused at the question, but the agents commission is taken out of the proceeds of the sale.  It is not paid in cash outside of the transaction. Hopefully I answered your question.
