I am in the processing of buying a multifamily house in Worcester, and the inspector said the gas boiler and water heater need be replaced. Any idea how much will the replacement cost? Thanks!

Call an HVAC company to confirm. Things are expensive right now and people are busy so pricing is a bit off. We own a few units in MA and NH and replace these pretty frequently. I’d say a water heater will be $1300-$2000 depending on type and gas boiler $4000-$7500. Before replacing them get mass save to come out and do an energy consultation. You can get some free tax rebates on both of these items which will help offset the cost.
