Hi - I have a duplex under contract where I'll be able to finance the reno into the mortgage through the Detroit Home Mortgage program. Are there any contractors who'd be interested in coming out this week to complete a bid? Can you recommend me to a contractor who works in Detroit? Per finance requirements the contractor must be licensed, bonded and insured. Thanks for any help you can provide and feel free to PM if you're interested. Thanks!
@Taylor Johnson we are investors/brokers/builders and meet your requirements and can provide a scope and bid if still in need.
@Aaron B. Lewis thank you. I'll keep your contact for the future.
@Taylor Johnson - Does the Detroit Home Mortgage program require that the owner occupy the home? Do you know what the time requirements are? Were you able to qualify while living in Tulsa?
Hi @Samantha B. - At the time I lived in Detroit, and therefore it would've been owner occupied. So I'm not sure if it's a requirement. Their website has a lot of hopeful information that was my first stop in learning about the process. If you're interested, I can recommend a loan officer at one of the program's participating banks who could assist with understanding the DHM financing.
