TAX Sale Deed Lien Holder Negotiations.

Obi Linton
Posted

I am negotiating with the lawyers of 3 properties all owned by the same Lien holder. I am going to purchase the properties from them directly. BUT the properties are on the Upset Tax Sale. I am assuming someone will pay the taxes and obtain the deed. What would I need to do after I purchase the property from the Lien Holder to obtain the deed and own the entirety of the property outright?  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Replied

At closing the attorney should pay the back taxes from the sellers proceeds. Then you should get a general warranty deed and title insurance.
